Porsche has officially presented the fastest version Panamera. We will remind that earlier the most abrupt there was model Panamera Turbo which had the 4,8-liter unit capacity of 500 h.p. But now on the first place will stand Panamera Turbo S which will receive same on volume power unit, but capacity already 550 h.p. and a twisting moment in 750 Nm. Moreover, in a mode Sport and Sport Plus serial package Sport Chrono Turbo, and also in a normal mode of movement by sharp pressing of a pedal of an accelerator against the stop the eight-cylinder unit by means of function Overboost gives out whole 800 Nm (at simple Turbo - 700 Nm). The capacity increase in comparison with PanameraTurbo speaks two important improvements:
the improved turbocharger with turbine wheels from a titano-aluminum alloy and the adapted steering of the engine.
use of an innovative titano-aluminum alloy reduces weight of a turbine and compressor wheel. Moment of inertia of weights as a result decreases and, thus, time of the response of the engine is reduced.
Thanks to the modernized unit, in mode Launch Control the most powerful Panamera is capable to be dispersed from 0 to 100 km/h of all for 3,8 sec, and the maximum speed of model is equal 306 km/h (at 500-strong Turbo indicators hardly were more modest: 4,2 sec and 303 km/h). And, despite such tremendous dynamics, fuel consumption Panamera Turbo S still is at rather low level – at use of special 19-inch tire covers Michelin with low rolling resistance it makes only 11,3 l on 100 km (with usual rubber – 11,5).
Cost Panamera Turbo S in Germany makes 167 076 euros, the Beginning of sales - June, 2011.
