Suzuki S-Cross at Paris Auto Show
Today on the Paris Auto Show Suzuki company showed a prototype of future crossover — the novelty received name S-Cross. It's interesting that S-Cross won't replace the current Suzuki models, but will add scale, standing between compact SX4 and larger Grand Vitara. On length (4310 mm) S-Cross concedes to popular Volkswagens Tiguan and Kia Sportage, but the wheel base (2600 mm) is comparable to competitors that hints an acceptable stock of a place behind. Plus Japanese promise one of the biggest luggage carrier in a segment.
Design S-Cross is hardly remarkable. Corporate identity in Suzuki barely formed - all models are different, but there S-Cross have attractive face something vaguely resembling a sedan Kizashi. Of course, the 20-inch wheels, which sports a concept car, will be replaced on production version a more down to earth.
Suzuki promises bring S-Cross to the conveyor in the next year, but there is no information about the technique, except that in Suzuki promise a new generation all-wheel drive transmission. Of course, S-Cross also will receive and automatic transmission.
