New Opel Cascada officially presented
The Opel company officially told about the cabriolet Cascada constructed on the basis of the Astra model. Outwardly Cascada differs from Astra not only lack of a roof: it's necessary to note other angular cowl, other front grille, slightly other forward headlights with a light-emitting diode corner of day running fires and light-emitting diode back lamps. In the interior Opel Cascada offers passengers the improved materials of the furnish, new seats with heating and cooling function and the electric drive, and also Easy Entry system which is urged to facilitate access of passengers on the second row.
As for the convertible top, the choice was made in favor of classic fabric roof, which you can open or lay down for 17 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. With the hood Opel Cascada boot capacity is 350 liters with the roof stowed, it's reduced to 280 liters.
Opel Cascada buyers can choose from four power units. Gasoline engines will feature a 1.4-liter turbo-unit, available in two versions: 120 h.p and 140 h.p. In both cases, the engine is able to deliver 220 Nm peak torque. Masthead is a 1.6-liter petrol engine capable producing 177 h.p and 280 Nm. One diesel engine - a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit, which has a capacity of 165 h.p and a maximum torque of 380 Nm. Depending on the version of the car will be aggregated 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic.
Cabriolet Cascada will be present in March 2013 on motor show in Geneva. Production of the car will begin spring of next year in the Polish city Gilwice. Later the company will report about the prices for a novelty.
