BMW has done it! BMW presented her first ever MPV, which, however, the representatives of the Bavarian company in the future will denote the proud index GT - say, that's a sport car, Gran Turismo. But we all know - no it's not GT. This practical MPV that should appeal to Europeans. But his main opponent will be, perhaps, the only Mercedes-Benz B-class.But not only the body shape makes Active Tourer Concept really special car. Before us is the first in the history of the brand front-drive car. True, this does not mean that the Bavarians decided to switch completely to the front drive - most likely in the future, the new platform will be used only for compact models, and focused "on the family." But the small coupe and convertible remain rear-wheel drive platform.
Future BMW 1 GT will be equipped with three-cylinder engine capacity of 1.5 liters. This is a new Bavarian power unit, which in the future will be put on many models of the company, including the third and possibly the 5th series. After all, despite it's three cylinders, the new engine produces 190 hp at once!
