On a showroom in Geneva which will open in the beginning of March, BMW company will present at once two interesting novelties. Most of people will be involved for certain with the big roadster Vision ConnectedDrive. It will show to the whole world, in what direction the design of the Bavarian cars will develop in the nearest some years (speak, that fast on serial models will appear headlights and a radiator enclosure, as on concept car). Also on this concept for the first time will be shown new information system which will come in the stead present i-Drive . About what there is a speech, isn't absolutely clear yet. Besides, in Geneva BMW promises to present serial electro car on the basis of 1st series. However, it doesn't mean that such BMW 1st series will soon go on sale. This year BMW will exhaust only such 1000 cars which will take place tests (though in some countries such cars can be leased).BMWs ActiveE will start to equip with litievo-ion accumulators and electric motor capacity of 168 h.p. Because of accumulators weight of the car has turned out rather decent – 1800 kg so in turning movements it is necessary to forget about fascinating driving (for comparison, usual BMW 1st series weighs less than 1300 kg). BMW ActiveE still will be rather fast car – thanks to electric motor with big twisting moment, the car can be dispersed from 0 to 100 km/h of all for 4,5 sec (the car with the 170-strong petrol motor carries out this exercise for 7,7 sec). As to the maximum speed it will be artificial limited on a mark of 145 km/h – if to go faster accumulators will be discharged too quickly (by the way, BMW assure that the cruising range at electric BMW 1st series is equal 160 km).
