Lexus in Paris: the new coupe LF-CC

At the Paris Auto Show the company showed a new concept Lexus LF-CC. The two-door coupe reflects the release of a new production model, which will replace the IS350. The novelty has adopted many features of a sports hybrid concept LF-LC demonstrated at the Detroit International Auto Show and demonstrates further development of design philosophy Lexus L-finesse. It's necessary to note a volume lattice in the form of a spindle, three LED lights mounted on the heat-resistant coating in the narrow gap between the top and bottom of the front wing, aerodynamic wings, strongly inclined windscreen, as well as special aerodynamic elements - fins. The car body is painted in a new color Fluid Titanium. Dimensions of the concept are typical for this class of machine: 4660 × 1375 × 1840 mm, wheelbase 2730 mm.

In the interior of the car bet is placed on the development of the philosophy HMI - human-machine interaction. Thus, the instrument panel is divided into two zones, the upper of which is equipped with a screen with the ability to output multiple image types, and the bottom provides access to the gear position. But really the key word for the interior Lexus LF-CC - this, of course, a touch screen. Finally, note the widespread use in the decoration of metal and soft plastics.

As for the power plant, the creators made Lexus LF-CC hybrid. The car has received a combination of 2.5-liter petrol engine and an electric motor with permanent magnets cooled to operate from a nickel-metal hydride batteries. The engine is paired with a stepless variator E-CVT and all-wheel drive.

Power and dynamic performance of the car is not known. However, such a policy is clear - the fact that the output of serial next-generation Lexus IS is not far off. Though representatives of the company refuse to designate exact date of emergence of a novelty, it's known that the car will show in 2013 on one of the largest auto shows, most probable of which is the motor show in Detroit.
