In the end of January 2011 Porsche declared release of the limited party black 911 which have received name 911 Black Edition. The circulation of this model is rather limited - 1 911 pieces. But today it became known that in black color will be paint also Boxster!!! And the model under name Boxster S Black Edition will be made more smaller circulation – only 987 cars. In this car all will be black: the body, collapsible top, 19-inch disks. Follows chosen color concept Boxster S Black Edition up to the most smallest details. So, air intakes in the rear side of a body are painted in black color, in black color the two-line exhaust pipe with dual nozzles is executed also. The inscription of the name of model painted in black color specifies in an accessory to series Black Edition on a blank-end cover and an imprinted inscription Black Edition sideways on a fabric awning. Safety arches too are painted in black color.As you guess, in Porsche Boxster S Black Edition interior dominates black color too. Decorative mouldings on a front panel, a molding of the lever of a check point, dials of an instrument cluster, a seat with the imprinted arms of Porsche on headrests – all black.
Before rear axle Boxster S Black Edition is established the 3,4-liter six-cylinder engine with system of direct injection of fuel. It develops 320 h.p. – on 10 h.p. more than in Boxster S. The rated power is reached at 7200 rpm (at engine Boxster S – at 6400 rpm). The maximum twisting moment became more on 10 Nm and makes 370 Nm at 4750 rpm.
Porsche Boxster S Black Edition has been priced at $65,200, which is roughly $7,000 more than the Boxster S.
