Mercedes-Benz has presented official photos of a new coupe on the basis of the S-class which will be henceforth called C-Class Coupe. This car will come in the stead at once of two models – coupe CLK and CLC. All details about a novelty become already known very soon, after all the premiere of the car will pass in March on a showroom in Geneva. But already now it is known that in the USA the new coupe will be on sale with two gasoline engines: 1,8 l with forced aspiration (201 h.p.) and 3,5 l (302 h.p.). And here in Europe the scale of power units will appear more widely. So, the 1,8-liter petrol motor will be offered in two versions (156 h.p. or 204 h.p.), and, besides, will appear a 2,1-liter diesel engine capacity of 170 h.p. or 204 h.p. (the 3,5-liter motor which in the Old World will develop 306 h.p. will remain also). Thus 170-strong diesel version C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY will spend for each 100 km of a way only 4,4 l.
