On the eve of opening Geneva showroom Ford company has decided to show to journalists the new model under name B-Max. Formally it is called concept, but we are assured that the serial car practically won't differ from it. B-Max which will go to manufacture, for certain too will receive unique system of doors thanks to which the body at all has no B-pillars! It is main counter B-Max and the excellent answer to Opel Meriva at which the rear doors open towards to a movement course. Look – if to clean an average rack, and the rear door to make sliding, pass to interior of the car becomes much more convenient. At completely open doors the total length of an aperture will make already one and a half meter! And it means, that even very large mother-in-law can sit down without special problems in this car.« Our pre-production model iosis MAX showed advantages with which the design without an average rack can allocate the car of class MAV », - the chief executive design Ford Europe Martin Smith has declared. -« B-MAX deduces this idea on the following level, showing the decision ready to manufacture stylishly integrated into the general design of the car ».B-Max has and other advantages – about design we in this case intentionally don't speak, after all everyone has own concepts about beauty. So, in B-Max it is possible to combine not only rear seats, but also front passenger. This gives opportunity to push cargoes in length in interior to 2,35 meters!
Ford B-Max has one more very important feature. It is a question about the engine. After all here for the first time we can see the newest three-cylinder petrol motor in volume only one liter which combines direct injection of fuel, a turbo-supercharging and system of change phases of an admission and release. The serial version of this unit will give out how many, yet isn't informed (probably, it is a question about 85-110 h.p. depending on version). But already it is now clear that the given cursor will come in the stead Ford four-cylinder motors of small volume. Besides, and it should be pleasant to the women, the new engine will work not only with "mechanics", but also with new box PowerShift with two clutches which here will replace automatic machine.
