Citroen company has shown the first car of new premium line DS exactly two years ago on a showroom in Geneva – model DS3 has very soon gone to manufacture and became one of the most interesting novelties during the last years. Last year Citroen has presented one more DS – hatchback DS4 (its sales will begin in the near future). And what about further?According to German edition AutoBild, model DS2 will be the following model of a premium line DS.Frenchmen say that it becomes the ideological successor legendary 2CV which all name not differently, as "The Ugly Duckling". However it is not necessary to forget that "Duckling" was the simple and cheap machine which has helped post-war France to rise on feet. New DS2 will appear absolutely another – the model will differ a smart inner trim, updates in weight and modern non-polluting engines.
According to AutoBild, the length of Citroen DS2 will make 3,7 m ( on 240 mm more shortly C3, but thus on 265 mm is larger tiny С1). New DS2 on the sizes will compete with Mini. And, probably, not only in the sizes – Frenchmen promise to make so that DS2 becomes one of the best small hatchbacks in respect of roadability. The benefit of the experience and capabilities in Citroen for this is (not just this company for several years in a row wins the World Rally Championship).
